Toor Output Hit 4.6 Million Tonnes Before Easing
India's toor production fell to 2.2 million tonnes in 2008, then climbed unevenly to a record 4.6 million tonnes in 2016. Output eased after that, dropping to 3.3 million tonnes in 2022 before recovering to 3.6 million tonnes in 2024, still below the 2016 peak.
