India Papaya Output More Than Triples Since 2003

India's papaya production rose from 1,600 thousand tonnes in 2003 to 5,600 by 2013, despite a brief drop to 4,900 in 2014. Output then touched a high of 6,000 in 2018, slid to 5,200 in 2022, and recovered to 5,800 thousand tonnes in 2024. That left 2024 up 9% on 2023.
