India's marigold production rose from 4.3 thousand tonnes in 2013 to 43 thousand tonnes in 2017. It then fell to 5.7 thousand tonnes in 2019, rebounded to a record 44 thousand tonnes in 2022, and slipped to 14 thousand tonnes by 2024, about a third of the 2022 peak.
