India's ladyfinger output rose from 3.3 million tonnes in 2003 to 6.4 million by 2012. After slipping to 5.7 million in 2014, production crossed 6 million again in 2017. It then kept rising to a record 7.7 million tonnes in 2024, up 5% from 2023.
